These papers were created in the course of Dennis Moore's duties as the U.S Congressman for the Kansas 3rd Congressional District, primarily representing the work done in his Overland Park, Kansas office. The records include staff files, several boxes of audio-visual materials including VHS and mini audio cassettes, press clippings, and campaign materials.

This collection contains scattered correspondence, clippings, etc, of Kansas U.S. Congressmen collected over the years by various individuals.

Edward Lawrence "Larry" Winn represented Kansas in the United States House of Representatives from 1967-1985. This collection of his papers is comprised predominately of his Congressional files, as well as scrapbooks and some photographs. These congressional files include records related to proposed legislation, subject and reference files, committee records from those committees Winn served on, publicity and press-related materials, and other related records.

The letter concerns personal real estate transactions and troubles along the Missouri-Kansas border between free state and pro-slavery partisans. Letter is written on back page of "Appeal of Kansas to the voters of the Free States" dated Topeka, July 4, 1856. This printed appeal concerns the contested election of 1856 and an appeal for Kansas to join the Union as a free state.
